Virtual Private Servers (VPS)

VPS is the acronym for Virtual Private Server. In the Portuguese translation, it means private virtual server.

In this type of hosting, through a technique known as virtualization, an extremely robust physical server is divided, creating multiple virtual servers isolated from each other virtually. Although they share physical resources, features such as processing, traffic, disk space, and RAM are fully dedicated to each virtual server.

In practice, each VPS Server functions as if it were a dedicated server, although it has a smaller processing power.

Each account has root access and completely independent processes - which guarantees autonomy when it comes to configuring the system according to your needs, choosing scripts, processes, softwares and other customizable configurations.

For whom is a VPS Server indicated?
If you are expanding your website or need more control over your applications, a VPS Server may be a great choice.

Typically, a VPS Server is recommended for sites whose memory and processing capabilities can be served by shared plans, but which require other features available only in dedicated plans such as:

Sending of moderate to high e-mails (specific use);
Custom firewall;
Modifiable global PHP modifications;
Modifications of Apache server parameters etc.
VPS servers are also ideal for those looking for a hosting for light applications in JSP (Java / Tomcat) and / or PostgreSQL, for example.

In addition, they are an interesting resource for companies that work with the sending of email marketing, since they have a much more elastic limit. While on shared servers there is a limit of 500 e-mail per hour, on VPS servers this limit can reach 10,000 e-mails per hour (from VPS 4000).
